With over 28 years of experience in Local Government, I have worked as a town planner in a number of Local Authorities throughout the Country – Tipperary, Kilkenny, Cavan and Cork City Council and in Laois County Council since 2003. A Town Planner by profession who has led a number of County, City and Local Area Development Plans setting the overall strategy for the growth and sustainable development of the respective areas. Since 2021, as Director of Service on the Management Team with Laois County Council , I have taken on the responsibility for a number of areas, predominantly Housing (2021-2025) and Planning and in recent times for Economic Development,Tourism and Town Regeneration. Serving as a board member of the Laois Chamber Alliance, I hope to continue to enable and support a collaborative relationship between the Local Authority and the Chamber alliance and provide guidance and knowledge of the supporting landscape for businesses within County Laois while building the brand of Laois and all if has to offer.
