We are joined by local lady Una Doogue to tell us about the new Laois branch of charity SOSAD (Save Our Sons And Daughters) . Since 2007, SOSAD has worked to raise awareness and help prevent suicide in Ireland. They have worked tirelessly in our communities to help those in need feel supported and know they are not alone on their journey.
SOSAD is a non-profit organisation that provides free counselling services and support to people who are struggling with:
Suicidal Ideation
Self-Harming
Depression
Stress & Anxiety
Bereavement
They are shortly opening an office in Portlaoise to serve the people of Laois.
