Wednesday, 24 June 2026 Laois Chamber Alliance has presented €20,000 to two local charities following the outstanding success of this year’s Spirit of Laois Charity Golf Classic, demonstrating the strength, generosity and community spirit of businesses across County Laois. At a special cheque presentation on Wednesday, 24 June, €10,000 was presented to Saplings Special School, Killeshin, accepted by Principal Lesley Brant, and €10,000 was presented to Laois Domestic Abuse Service, accepted by Marna Carroll on behalf of the organisation. 16 June 2026  A delegation led by Eurochambres President Vladimír Dlouhý and the Association’s Irish member Chambers Ireland met on Monday (15 June) with Taoiseach Micheál Martin to outline shared priorities for Ireland’s upcoming EU Presidency. Laois Chamber Alliance urges SME-first approach as Ireland shapes EU Presidency priorities 27 February 2026 Minister for European Affairs Thomas Byrne TD met with Laois Chamber Alliance today at the Chamber’s offices in Portlaoise to hear a cross-sector business perspective on the practical pressures impacting competitiveness and growth. December & January Policy Update Over the last two months, Chambers Ireland has been highlighting the key priorities of the affiliated Chamber network.
